Thursday, March 21st, 7-8pm. Sustainability Book Group meets for an in-person discussion of Beaverland by Leila Philip.
Thursday, March 28th, 1-2pm: Around the World in 2024, a monthly geography program for homeschooling kids (every fourth Thursday). Each month, we will learn about a new place, through stories, music, mapmaking, and other activities. All ages are welcome, but the activities will be designed with kids 7-10 in mind. Children aged 7+ are welcome to stay unattended for this program. This month: Italy! Please register in advance.
April Meeting of the Sustainability Book Group, TBD. Moving forward, we will meet on the third Thursday of the month, 7-8pm. However, in April, Leila Philip (author of March pick Beaverland) will be speaking at the Shelburne Town Hall on the third Thursday, 4/18. We suspect that many book club members will want to attend this event. Please fill out this Doodle poll to help us pick a different date in April to discuss the book Electrify by Saul Griffith.
Thursday, April 11th, 6:30-7:30pm: Fiber Arts Circle for adults. Come knit, crochet, or otherwise craft! Drop in at any time. Every second Thursday.
Wednesday, April 17th, 6-7:30pm: Lasagna Gardening with Laura Oliver. Lasagna gardening, an easy no-till method of soil building, is a great way to recycle organic materials, and a simple way to create a thriving garden. Join us to learn this low cost, low maintenance method for creating nutrient dense garden beds.
Thursday, April 25th, 7-8pm: Speculative Fiction Book Club discusses Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. Contact the library for help locating a copy of the book.
Friday, May 3rd, 3:30pm: Come meet Tracey West, author of the incredibly popular Dragon Masters series! Register here. Registration is REQUIRED.
