We have missed you so much at the library, and are excited to welcome everyone back. Starting November 17, we will be open on a by-appointment basis. Things will look a little different, so here's what you need to know:
Sign up online for a 30-minute browsing session for you or your family by visiting our Calendly page. You can see right away what time slots are still available and import the event directly into your own calendar.
One individual or one family group will be allowed in the library at once. This helps us all social distance and comply with our capacity limit.
A family group is up to six people who all live together and have the same germs. Thanks for sticking with your pod and helping keep us healthy!
If you arrive late to your appointment, you will not be able to stay late. We need to stick closely to the start and end times to keep everyone from having to wait and to let more visitors come to the library every day.
The computer, water cooler, and upstairs play area are closed; the public restroom is open with cleaning materials provided for visitors to disinfect the room after use.
Be Smart, Stay Safe: visitors and staff are required to wear masks and social distance inside the library. Please stay home if you are feeling sick!
It's important to note that reopening does not mean a complete return to normal operations. We can't wait to see you, and are very grateful for your patience and cooperation as we return safely and responsibly. Thank you for reading our full reopening plan before your visit to make sure we are all on the same page.
As winter weather sets in, curbside orders will be in a brown paper bag just inside the front door, on the stairs to the right. If you don't want to come inside for whatever reason, just call (802) 899-8646 and we will gladly bring your order outside.
After Hours Curbside Pickup: If you can't make it to pick up your order while the library is open, let us know! We can leave your order in a plastic bin on the front porch for you to pick up in the evening.
In addition to books, all our DVDs, audiobooks, games, and materials in our Library of Things are also available for curbside services. With the public computer still closed, feel free to email us any documents in PDF format that you need printed and we can print them for curbside pickup as well.
The book drop on the front porch is open every day! If you have more books than will fit, feel free to knock and we can come grab them from you. We are still quarantining materials for one week after they've been returned, so please disregard any overdue notifications if you have recently dropped off books.
